With less than a week to go until the 2012 NFL season kicks off, the league and NFL Referees Association are still far from inking a new collective bargaining agreement. Earlier this week, the NFL announced it would use the widely criticized replacement referees for at least the first week of the regular season, leaving longtime refs stuck on the sidelines.
One of those veteran officials is Ed Hochuli, the ref famous for delivering extremely detailed on-field rulings and for sporting arms larger than half the players in the league.
With no end to the lockout in sight, it’s a good thing Hochuli has a legal career to fall back on. The partner at Jones, Skelton & Hochuli in Phoenix has one of Arizona’s most successful personal injury defense practices and has been named to the Southwest Super Lawyers list every year since its inception.
