Bill Marler takes action on tainted eggs

Bill Marler, perhaps the nation’s leading food-poisoning attorney, who has been on our Washington Super Lawyers list since 2003, has had an especially busy summer. When reports came flooding in of salmonella poisoning across the country caused by tainted eggs coming out of Wisconsin, Marler took action. His firm Marler Clark has already filed suit in Wisconsin and has potentially 30 more cases to tackle as the outbreak continues to grow.
Between representing the sickened and answering to the press, Marler has been keeping close tabs on the issue–and keeping the rest of us informed–on www.marlerblog.com. A renowned expert in food safety policy across the globe, Marler has been shining light on what went wrong, questioning why it took three months for health officials to act and why ‘t the facilities hadn’t been inspected.
“The recent nationwide salmonella outbreak linked to eggs is disappointingly typical of where we are in this country on food safety,” Marler told Super Lawyers in a statement. “One can only hope that the long pending national food safety legislation will finally pass, and have a positive impact on the safety of our food supply.”
